Hi Deepa ji,

No problem, I'm glad to help. You don't have to register for off campus housing, most of the Indian students live in private apartments All the apt blocks together is called the "University Square Apartments", but it's not related to the university in any sense except for the fact that it's about 5 min walk from the university. The only way you find housing is by emailing someone who already lives here( if you do that, just pick one and confirm that you'll live with them, don't keep others waiting for you.) Next one is to try to find a group that's coming here from your place and deciding on the living arrangements. And the last one is to land here(find temporary accomdation beforehand..email someone and they'll let you live at their place for a bit till you find a place) and then look for a place to stay. On campus jobs, to be frank are very few. There's already a long list of students from this current semester (fall) and previous semester (spring 2009) that still don't have any jobs. There are maybe 50 - 60 jobs and about already 450 of us here.. you do the math. So prepare for the worst.. again I'm not trying to dashing your hopes..but being frank there is no scholarship facilities also nobody will get scholarships as there are more indian students and no off campus jobs also try to pick this univ as a last choice
Thanks,
Vijaya Chithra Keerthivasan
